Music Distributor Website Redesign

APG - Web Designer (6 months)

Case Study Content

original Release Global website design

During my internship at APG, I redesigned their music distributor website to improve visual hierarchy, client retention, and editor onboarding. The original design lacked clear visual hierarchy, used minimal color variation, and contained excess empty space, making it difficult for clients to understand APG’s services. There was also no documentation available for onboarding new website editors.

I began the redesign process by gathering requirements from stakeholders and analyzing competitor websites. From there, I created multiple Figma mockups exploring different layouts, evaluated CMS options to ensure the redesign could be implemented efficiently, organized an internal spreadsheet to track FAQ updates, and documented the editing process to map page navigation.

Throughout the project, I met with stakeholders to confirm the website was user-friendly and responsive. Based on their feedback, I revised the visual hierarchy, color usage, and documentation as new requirements emerged. I implemented the final design in Framer, the CMS that best met APG’s needs.

Register website design

The redesigned website launched successfully within six months and strengthened APG's artist-focused branding and navigation between pages. Additionally, the user manuals I created reduced the time required to update the website. This work later led to me implementing a similar website design for APG's publishing administration service.
